The Opening Ceremony of English speaking course for staffs of Chan May Port was taken place in the morning of November 12, 2019.
With the purpose of improving English speaking skill, meeting working demands in the period of integration and development, the management board of Chan May Port has cooperated with the International English Center IEC to hold English classes for staffs. 37 learners of this couse will be instructed by experienced teachers with four skills including listening, speaking, reading and writing. Especially, listening skill will be hold by a native teacher. The learning syllabus for the course is the Oxford international curriculum, including the Let’s Talk for speaking skills and English for Logistics for seaport terms.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong - Deputy General Director of the company emphasized: “Chan May Port has been taken efforts to exceed the planned business targets of 2019, contributing to stability and development of the socio-economy. He also hoped the course would help Chan May Port staff to improve better competive capacity and to be better in solving practical situations when problems arised during operation.” On behalf of the IEC International Language and Training Center, Ms. Huynh Thi My Hanh - Director, a lecturer directly managing the training quality of the class, also have a speech for English course starting, pointed out the importance of learning language in the industry 4.0 era. It is extremely essential for the Port staffs in the process of working with partners, customers.
Soon after the Opening Ceremony, the 2-class learners took the first session learning with truly excited atmosphere. The course is expected to prolong for 3 months.
