Thua Thien Hue province has just issued a policy to support shipping lines to open container shipping routes to and from the port. This is an important content approved at the thematic meeting in early September 2022.
Accordingly, Thua Thien Hue province is expected to spend over 18 billion VND/year to support shipping lines. Specifically, container carriers at the port with a minimum frequency of 2 trips/month are supported 210 million VND/trip. Enterprises, organizations and individuals importing and exporting container goods to and from the port are supported from 800 thousand to 1 million 1 hundred thousand VND/container.
Because this is a new policy, the People's Council of Thua Thien Hue province proposed a pilot application period until the end of 2023 to encourage shipping lines to dock at the port.
